The ministry directly finances around 25% of these scholarships in the framework of Eiffel. The Eiffel excellence scholarship program was established by the French ministry and foreign affairs to promote French higher institutes and attract international students to enroll.
These scholarships are to promote a higher degree of education that covers masters and doctoral level programs.
#2 Charpak Scholarship
The Charpak scholarship program is the most popular scholarship program, because this program is run by the Embassy of France in India. Only a few people know that this program is named after Georges Charpak who was a French physicist awarded with the noble price in physics.

#3 Franco Indian Education Trust
The Franco - Indian Education Trust, found in August 2017 with an aim to support students, faculty, researchers and young professionals in diverse domains from India to France for any academic program. This trust is a joint initiative of the Embassy of France in India and Mr. Prashant K Lahoti, managing trusty of Krishnakriti Foundation and co-founder of Kalakriti India. under the franco India education trust, there are total 2 scholarships

UGAM Legrand Scholarships
The scholarship is designed for Indian students to pursue a master’s programme in France in the field of management, science and engineering. The students with an annual family income that is below 10 lakhs and and children of armed forces personnel (preference will be given to children of martyrs) are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
The awardees will be offered tuition fee waiver up to 10,000 euros or monthly stipend (upto 7500 euros/annum); visa and campus France fee waiver. The scholarship does not cover any other expenses, such as return flight tickets, accommodation, insurance and other travel related costs.
Selection process:
- The applicants will be shortlisted on their academic results, project of studies, motivation, and socioeconomic status.
- The shortlisted candidates will undergo a telephonic round of interview conducted by an experienced panel of interviewers.
- Final list of selected students will be published on the website and will receive the personalized scholarship award letter issued by Legrand.
Amba-Dalmia Scholarship Programm
This is a very unique scholarship for Indian women aspiring to study in music, theater, sports, arts, sculpture, cinema, opera, ballet, painting, photography and culinary arts in France.
#4 Erasmus +
Erasmus + is a European Union programme that supports Education training, youth, and sport. With the help of this scholarship, more than 2 Million students can benefit from mobility bursary in Europe.
The Erasmus Mundas joint Masters is a study program that awards scholarships to the world's best students for one or 2 years, regardless of their field of study. Students must take their Masters's program in at least two countries participating in the program to receive this scholarship.
#5 Early Bird Scholarships
Early Bird scholarships are for those students who determined to study in France and ready to apply before 6 to 7 months of the intake. You will receive this scholarship in major Management and Business Schools in France if you have already made your mind towards France.
#6 Eiffel Scholarship Program Of Excellence
This scholarship program was established by the French Ministry to encourage foreign students to enroll in masters and Ph.D. programs.
This scholarship is for students applying from developing countries with age up to 25 years for master's level program and students applying from industrialized countries at Ph.D. level with age up to 30 years.
This scholarship application is open until January 8th, 2021.
What are the criterias for applying to scholarships?
All the above scholarships have different criteria to apply. But few things that remain mandatory to gain these scholarships are your academic marks, your IELTS score and last but not the least, your course selection.
