Germany Student Visa VFS Checklist 2026
Ensure that all documents are arranged in the prescribed order before submitting your application at the VFS Global center.

Please prepare two identical sets of applications. Copies have to be size A4.
On the date of the visa appointment, you must have originals of all documents with you.
Please note that the German Missions in India reserve the right to ask for additional documents or the verification of certificates, for which additional fees would be charged.
As your application will be forwarded to the competent Aliens’ Authorities in Germany, the processing of your application will take six to eight weeks.
The submission of the above-mentioned documents does not guarantee that a visa is granted. Submission of incomplete documentation or refusal to appear for a visa interview may result in the rejection of your application. Making untrue statements and/or handing in documents that do not reflect the truth will result in a rejection of your application.
