Germany has recently launched the Consular Services Portal which marks an improvement in the visa application process and became available on January 1st, 2025. The system aims to simplify the workflow for consulate workers by allowing applicants from across the globe to submit applications for different categories of German visas online instead of the cumbersome paper-based method. The shift is intended to help the country deal with the shortage of skilled workers and students, particularly in technology, education, healthcare services, skilled trades, and many more.
