Ireland Student Visa Requirements for Indian Students

2. Proof of Funds

To get your visa approved, you need to show that you can cover both your tuition fees and living expenses during your stay in Ireland. This usually means having access to:

• Around €21,710 to €38,460 if you're staying in Dublin
• Around €19,710 to €36,460 if you’ll be living outside Dublin
  

These amounts include tuition, housing, daily expenses, and a return flight. Funds can be shown through bank statements, education loans, or sponsorship letters — but the money must be readily available, not blocked or pending.

3. Health Insurance

Health insurance is mandatory for all international students. You’ll need to purchase a policy that covers you for the entire duration of your stay in Ireland, and provide a copy during your visa application.

4. Valid Passport

Your passport should be valid for the entire length of your course, with at least six months of validity remaining after your course ends. Also, make sure your passport has a few blank pages for visa stamps.

5. English Language Proficiency

To study in Ireland, you’ll need to prove your English skills. Most universities require IELTS, but some may also accept TOEFL, PTE, or Duolingo English Test scores. The minimum required scores vary depending on the course and institution.

6. Police Clearance Certificate

A Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is required to prove that you have no criminal background. This is a mandatory step for student visa verification.

7. Visa Application Form

You’ll need to fill out the online visa form via the AVATS system and pay the required visa application fee. Print out the summary and sign it before submission.

8. Visa Application Fee

• €60 for a single-entry visa

9. Photographs
