Being a country with a unique history and culture, Ireland offers an excellent education to its students. Where most of the students think that the Ireland student visa process is complicated and long, this blog will surely change your perspective about the same. Let’s have a quick look at the Ireland Study Visa process.
1. Selection of course
The first and foremost step to get a study visa is the selection of course for which you want to apply. Based on the last education and your area of interest, the course should be chosen. Whether its Geology or food science, Applied Economics or Audiology, Finance or Biotechnology, Ireland has blanket options for the students.
2. Choose the university
Once you have chosen the field in which you want to move forward, you should do research on universities in which the course is available. You should make a list of universities in which the course is available and then compare them. Comparison can be on the basis of the city in which they are located, ranking, accreditations, tuition fees structure, scholarships, etc. You can even visit an education consultant to get detailed information about the university and your career opportunities.
3. Get Offer Letter
Once you have finalized the university, make no delay and start your process. Students are suggested to start their application at least 3 months prior to the course start date to reach Ireland on time. Once the application has been made, the university issues an offer letter. On receiving an offer letter, the student is required to make a payment of deposit money which is equivalent to 50% of tuition fees.
NB: As per requirement of Embassy, the student has to compulsory make payment of minimum 50% of tuition fees before submitting his file at VFS Ireland.
4. The Final Step
On receiving Tuition fees from the student, the university will issue unconditional letters and other visa documents of the student. And there comes the final step – The File Submission. Make sure that you have all the required documents as per checklist. Once you have prepared your Visa File, the student is required to Fill AVATS Form. Make sure you have the below-mentioned documents before you start filling AVATS Form
- Passport
- Previous Academic Documents
- University and Course Details
- Agent Details
Once you have filled the AVATS form, download the form as it will be needed for scheduling appointments at VFS Ireland. Once you have taken an appointment you are required to pay visa charges which are approximately 15000 INR and approximately 16800 INR if you take Premium Lounge. After successfully submitting your file at VFS Ireland, the visa result is received in approx. one month of file submission. If you are a shy person and have fear of appearing for an interview well for you the good news is that there is no visa interview for Ireland study visa.
